- Express Efficiency Program

The Express Efficiency Program is a statewide program sponsored by investor-owned utilities under the direction of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). The utilities are PG&E, San Diego Gas & Electric, Southern California Edison and Southern California Gas Co. Each utility separately administers the program in its service territory. The program is for commercial, industrial and agricultural account customers with a monthly demand of 500kW or less per service account. Total rebate limit for 2004 is $200,000 per account. Applies to small and medium-sized businesses. Energy efficient equipment must be installed between January 2, 2004 and December 31, 2004 to receive a rebate. Specific rebate amounts include:
$16.50 Wall box sensors $44.00 Ceiling mounted sensors • $15.00 Plug load sensors

- Standard Performance Contract (SPC)

This program offers cash incentive payments to PG&E customers for projects involving retrofits of existing equipment or systems with new high-efficiency equipment. As of June 2004, there is still $4,320,165 left in the budget for funding these projects.

- Savings By Design

Savings By Design is a statewide program for commercial, industrial and agricultural customers that encourages energy-efficient building design and construction. The program, administered by California's four investor-owned utilities under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), offers building owners and their design teams a variety of services. Projects must be located within the service territories of Pacific Gas and Electric Company, San Diego Gas and Electric, Southern California Edison or Southern California Gas Company. Contact the appropriate utility early in the design process to determine funding availability, to learn about program options and to enhance your project's energy-efficiency potential.

- Anaheim Public Utilities

Utility incentives program runs from July 1, 2004 to June 23, 2005. It is strictly based on the calculation seen before and after installing lighting controls or other energy saving equipment. There is a $25,000 limit for each site.

- Modesto Irrigation

Rebates are in effect until December 31, 2004. This plan does not apply to new construction but to those customers who are doing a retrofit. Rebates offered are as follows:

- Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD)

SMUD has customized incentives available for small businesses. There are special requirements that must be met between the months of June and September.

- Silicon Valley Power (SVP)

Energy-equipment must be pre-approved to qualify for a rebate. Approved equipment must then be installed within six months.
